Shoreline Ambassador¸ Certificate
The formal program is centred on the Shoreline Ambassador¸ Certificate. This certificate
provides an attractive reward which can be presented to adults and young people, for an action completed or as an acknowledgement for making a pledge for the future. Individual businesses who have a direct impact on a shoreline can also be included in the certificate program (eg. marinas, resorts, or other shoreline businesses).

Shoreline Ambassador¸ Certificates are numbered forms which will be linked into a data base for the purpose of monitoring and tracking shoreline protection, conservation and restoration activities across Canada. We are developing a sticker program to add extra appeal to the Shoreline Ambassador¸ certificates, and to differentiate varying degrees and levels of commitment; these can be modified for use by children or school groups.

To issue the certificate a group is required to enter into a formal license agreement with The
Living by Water Project. There are various rewards available for individuals making as well as completing a pledge.

Community groups interested in making use of the Shoreline Ambassador¸ Certificates are
invited to become authorized issuing agents. Contact us for more information. (Link to send
email message)

Honorary Shoreline Ambassador Certificate
This certificate has been developed to provide publicity for the Shoreline Ambassador Program and to acknowledge individuals, organizations and businesses who have made a direct or indirect contribution to the protection, conservation and restoration of the health of Canada's shorelines.
Nominations (link to send email message) are accepted through The Living by Water Project office for this special promotional program.
